STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SPELL THE WORDS FROM MEMORY WHEN WE GIVE THE SPELLING TEST. STUDENTS WILL ALSO BEGIN THEIR ASSESSMENTS WITH SENTENCE DICTATION. THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO LISTEN TO AN ORAL SENTENCE STATED BY THE TEACHER AND WRITE THE COMPLETE SENTENCE STARTING WITH A CAPITAL LETTER, SPACING BETWEEN WORDS AND USING THE CORRECT PUNCTUATION AT THE END OF THE SENTENCE.

I will always give them a BONUS word to spell as well which will be one of the HF words that we have learned. If they mispell one of their spelling words, but spell the bonus word correctly, they will still get the grade of /E/.
